Commercial Manager
We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a leading international quantity surveying and project management consultancy in Dubai. You will be part of a growing commercial team working on various capital projects across Dubai.
The successful Commercial Manager will be offered excellent career prospects. The position also offers an excellent “Tax-Free” salary and full benefits package.
Commercial Manager Duties
Your duties as a Commercial Manager will vary according to specific project requirements, but are likely to include a combination of:
- Preparation cost plans
- Evaluation and Assessment of Tenders
- Manage and submit documentation, advise and agree on 'on-costs', and consider all contractual issues
- Management of all quantity surveyors, advise and decide on methods of resolving contractual issues and final account settlements.
- Management of production and issuing of all sales invoices & applications to ensure that they are issued on time in order to maximise cash flow. Ensure variation accounts on all contracts are maintained up to date.
- To accurately monitor expected performance and return on all projects, compare with budget and report back at regular intervals.
- Interfacing with clients/Customers during all stages of the project.
Skills & Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor Role
- A recognised degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction subjects
- Substantial professional quantity surveying/commercial management experience gained within a cost consultancy company
- Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or in a team leading role is required
- MRICS or CIOB is an advantage, however not essential
