Cost Manager
We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading quantity surveying and project management consultancy in Dubai. You will be part of a growing commercial team working on array of commercial, retail, residential and leisure projects across Dubai.
The successful Cost Manager will be offered excellent career prospects. The position also offers an excellent “Tax-Free” salary and benefits package.
Cost Manager Duties
Working within a team of project and cost managers you will be responsible for the preparation of concept schematic and detailed cost plans and estimates.
Typical duties would include:
- Assisting project management team on quantity surveying issues
- Attending site and progress meetings as required
- Assisting in preparation of project monthly progress reports
- Evaluate submitted cost plans, budgets etc including cash flow forecasts
- Analyse & prepare approvals to cost change submittals for submission to client
- Evaluate and ensure design changes are cost effective
- Review projects and ensure value for money is achieved
- Review final accounts
- Check and assess viability of Contractor claims
Skills & Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor Role
- A minimum of 5 years cost management or quantity surveying experience gained within a cost consultancy company
- A degree level qualification in quantity surveying or relevant subjects would be highly advantageous, as will progression towards RICS status.
