Writing a Good CV
How to write a good CV
How to make your CV more appealing to employers
Make your CV concise - Two pages CV is ideal as long CVs could put potential employers off. Use MS word Format CV writing techniques
List all your duties and responsibilities (try not to summarise) Highlight important information in any project you’ve been involved in, such as type of project, value/size of the project, number of personnel working under you (if any), …etc. List any relevant achievements Concentrate on experience, skills and achievements that are relevant to the job you are applying for –There is a point talking about your CAD draughting skills when you are applying for a position (yes it’s worth mentioning) List your employment history in reverse chronological order. List all your relevant skills and software/IT-experience Carefully choose your CV layout, words and language, (after all your CV is your main and only marketing tool) Try to include work references, It is acceptable to use “as request” but references will make your application stronger. Do not lie or exaggerate facts or achievements! Reed your CV back to your self to ensure that it makes sense.
