Interview Techniques

Research the company for position and try to get as much information about as you can from the company's website

Ask the recruitment consultant who put you up for this interview for additional information about the person whos going to interview you, the duration of the interview and any releven information.

Typical info to search are ,team size, projects and services, turnover, environment, team structure, candidates requirments and job specs.

  • Prepare your self for questions that could be asked by the job interviewer.

  • Try to prepare your self to answer interviewer’s questions.

  • It’s often difficult to tell the exact pattern or type of questions, but little preparation can make all the difference.

  • Prepare questions to ask the interviewer

  • Dress smartly

  • Be on time

  • Smile, make eye contact and be confident.

  • Ask and answer questions in a professional and positive attitude

  • Show your intention towards the job

  • Highlight how your experience can benefit your prospective employer.

  • At the end of the interview, consider asking about the next stage expressing your interest if keen to move forward

  • It might worth asking - politely -  about any potential feedback or if there are any obstacles that might stop you from moving to the next stage – this could be your last chance to overcome any wrong impressions the interviewer might had

  • Always phone your recruitment consultant with your thoughts and feedback after the interview
